  • Who we are > In brief

SPB has been creating white-label insurance and assistance solutions for corporate accounts since 1965.

Historically focused on the banking sector, SPB has gradually diversified its offering, which now covers not just banking products (payment instrument insurance, savings protection etc) but also consumer goodsinsurance (mobile telephones and handhelds, travel, sports equipment etc), home insurance (boilers, electrical installations etc) and life events (marriage, retirement, borrower insurance, death etc).

1965: Dominique Guian founded Société de Prévoyance Bancaire in Le Havre.
1995: Formation of SPB Ibérica, based in Madrid.
1999: Jean-Marie Guian appointed Managing Director of SPB. In 2000, he became the Chairman of the Management Board.
2003: Formation of SPB Italia, based in Milan.
2008: Opening of subsidiaries in Tunisia, Switzerland and Poland.
2010 : SPB expands in the UK and Germany.

SPB now has over 100 leading brands as its partners in France and Europe:
    • Banks and financial institutions
    • Insurers and reinsurers
    • Telecom operators and vendors
    • Specialized retail networks
    • Utilities
    • Tourism and leisure companies

SPB solutions, which are distributed as white-label (or unbranded) solutions by its partners’ sales networks, allow brands to expand and differentiate their offers. Each solution is developed on a case-by-case basis to meet the partner’s specific requirements. SPB can provide fully integrated services (insurance product design, pricing, placing of risk, advice on distribution methods, sales network coordination, policyholder contact management, reporting, brokerage, etc). Peak Sales, SPB’s operational marketing subsidiary, deals with all operational marketing issues.

Lastly, SPB has been involved in the world of adventure and exploration since 1999, sponsoring explorers, awarding the Peter-Bird trophy every year, being an active partner of the Guilde Européenne du Raid, and backing ‘Ecrans de l’Aventure’ (the Dijon adventure film festival).
